Shivapuri & Phulchowki bird watching tour

Today is the auspicious day of our tour. We visit some of the cultural UNESCO world heritage sites of Kathmandu valley. Swayambhu, Kathmandu Durbar Square, Boudha and Pashupatinath would be our touring destinations today. These heritages are the live reflector of the religious integrity and architectural wealth of Nepal. After the time you will get brief about the tour. Overnight at Hotel.

After breakfast, we will drive to Phulchowki. Phulchowki hill is the tallest hill in Kathmandu standing at 2500 m. We will have a full day exploration of the upper section of Phulchowki Hill for birds. We will have lunch boxes for a mid-day meal. Birds like Black Eagle, Babblers, Yuhinas, Bulbuls, Robins Thrushes and many other hill birds are commonly seen. Also, the outskirts of Kathmandu is dotted with rice fields & tiny villages and small forest patches. Therefore, you are likely to see many birdlife such as Black Kite, Cattle Egret, White-Breasted Kingfisher, Spotter Dove, Red-rumped Swallows, Black, Ashy and Bronzed Drongos, Long-tailed Shrike, Common and jugle Mynas, Grey Treepie, Red-vented Bulbul, etc. After finishing today’s program we will drive back to our hotel. This fourth day will serve you all the opportunities to dote amazing and enchanting colourful birds. We will be delighted to observe some of the most captivating and enthralling birds in this perfect setting of nature. Shivapuri National Park which used to be a hunting reserve for the former Royal Family lies inside Kathmandu. The park has great potentiality for the newer species. Wren Babbler, the new species of bird was first discovered by Jochen Martin here in Shivapuri. Spiny Babbler, the endangered species, only found in Nepal, can be found in Shivapuri. Similarly, the other two restricted-range birds: the Hoary Throated Barwing and the White-Throated Tit are the dwellers of this area. If you are really a bird watcher and would like to visit Shivapuri, You could set a new record exploring new species. There is no doubt. . In the evening our office representative will come to pick you at your hotel for your Farewell Dinner at a Nepali Restaurant. Overnight at the hotel.
