Tour Itinerary

Our representative will meet at the arrival gate with a signboard for Mandala Holidays. Then you will be escorted to your selected hotel. The rest of the day can be spent at leisure in the evening, our company representatives will visit you for the final briefing of the trek.

On Day 2, start your morning in Thimi, a vibrant Newar town known for its traditional pottery and mask-making. Capture local artisans at work, colorful alleyways, and authentic daily life. Then head to the historic streets of Bhaktapur Durbar Square, where medieval temples, intricately carved windows, and lively courtyards offer endless photographic inspiration. In the late afternoon, drive to Nagarkot, a peaceful hill station famous for its Himalayan views, and set up for a stunning sunset shoot overlooking the distant peaks. Overnight at a scenic hotel in Nagarkot.

Begin Day 3 with an early sunrise photography session in Nagarkot, capturing the soft morning light over the Himalayas. After breakfast, drive back toward Kathmandu and head to Bouddhanath Stupa, one of the largest and most sacred Buddhist sites in Nepal. Spend time photographing monks in prayer, spinning prayer wheels, and the serene ambiance of the stupa and surrounding monasteries. Return to your hotel for rest or a photo review session. Rest of the day will be leisure.

On Day 4, begin with a morning photography session at Swayambhunath, also known as the Monkey Temple, capturing panoramic views of Kathmandu Valley and the spiritual energy of devotees and monks. Later, head to Patan Durbar Square, a treasure trove of Newari art and architecture. Explore ancient temples, intricate courtyards, and local artisans at work, offering rich subjects for cultural and architectural photography throughout the day.

Day 5 is reserved as a rest day, giving you time to relax, sort through your photos, or explore the nearby local markets at your own pace. It’s a perfect opportunity to reflect on your journey, do some final souvenir shopping, or simply enjoy a quiet day in Kathmandu before departure.

On Day 6, explore the traditional Newar villages of Bungamati and Khokana, where centuries-old customs and vibrant local life offer rich photographic opportunities. Capture artisans at work, ancient temples, terraced fields, and warm village scenes that showcase the authentic cultural heritage of the Kathmandu Valley.

On Day 7, start with a morning photo tour of Kathmandu Durbar Square, capturing the intricate architecture, bustling markets, and vibrant street life. In the afternoon, visit the historic town of Kirtipur, known for its charming alleys, traditional Newar culture, and panoramic views of the valley—offering unique scenes for your photography journey.

On the final day, enjoy some free time for last-minute shopping or photo reviewing before your transfer to the airport for departure. Take with you unforgettable memories and stunning images from your Kathmandu Valley photography adventure.
