The highlight of the trek is reaching Larke La Pass (5,160m), the highest elevation and Himalayan pass in the Manaslu region. Throughout the journey, revel in breathtaking views of Mt. Manaslu, HimalChuli, Ngadi Chuli, Shringi, Larke Glacier, Annapurna, and the Lamjung Himalayan range.

The trekking trails in the Manaslu region are diverse, rich in flora, and home to various species of fauna. The lush forests boast Himalayan Blue Pine, Oak, Birch, and rhododendron, with 19 distinct types of forests. Tour Itinerary

Our representative will meet you at the arrival gate with a signboard for Mandala Holidays. Then you will be escorted to your selected hotel. The rest of the day can be spent at leisure and in the evening, our company representatives will visit you for the final briefing of the trek. (Overnight at Hotel)

Today early in the morning, we will drive from Kathmandu to Machha Khola that marks as the beginning of the Manaslu Circuit trek, offering a glimpse into the diverse landscapes of Nepal. It’s an 8-9 hours long journey from Kathmandu with a scenic view on each turn. The road initially passes through urban areas, where you can see a mix of traditional Newari architecture and modern developments. As you move away from the city, the highway winds through terraced hillsides and rural village. (Overnight at Hotel).

Your trek commences from Machha Khola on day third, a small settlement situated beside the Budhi Gandaki River. The trail begins with a gradual ascent along the riverbank, passing through terraced fields and small Gurung villages. The trail also passes by impressive waterfalls cascading down from the steep cliffs. Towards the end of the day’s trek, you ascend gradually to reach Jagat, a picturesque village perched on a rocky hillside. (Overnight at Local Teahouse).

Jagat is a charming village situated at the entrance of the Manaslu Conservation Area. After having breakfast, we will start our trek by crossing the suspension bridge over the Budhi Gandaki River. The trail continues to ascend gradually, passing through pine and rhododendron forests. The terrain becomes more rugged as you approach Deng, with occasional steep sections and rocky paths. (Overnight at Local Teahouse).

The fifth day of trekking begins with breakfast in Deng, a picturesque village surrounded by terraced fields and views of distant mountain peaks. The trail gradually ascends through forests of pine and rhododendron, with occasional glimpses of Manaslu and other snow-capped peaks in the distance. As you approach Namrung, the terrain opens up into terraced fields and pastures dotted with traditional stone houses. (Overnight at Local Teahouse).

On the sixth day of trekking, begin your morning with breakfast in Namrung, soaking in the serene mountain views and preparing for another day of trekking deeper into the Manaslu Conservation Area. You will start to get closer views of Manaslu (8,163m) and its neighboring peaks like Himalchuli (7,893m) and Ngadi Chuli (7,871m). These breathtaking vistas serve as a constant reminder of the rugged beauty and grandeur of the Himalayas. Lho, a charming village nestled amidst in terraced fields with sweeping views of Manaslu and Ganesh Himal. (Overnight at Local Teahouse).

The trail from Lho ascends gradually, passing through dense forests of pine and rhododendron. Along the way, you will encounter ancient mani walls adorned with Tibetan Buddhist prayer inscriptions and prayer wheels that you can spin for blessings. The trek from Lho to Samagaon typically takes about 4-5 hours, covering a distance of approximately 8-10 kilometers. The trail involves gradual ascents and descents, showcasing the natural beauty and cultural heritage of the Manaslu Conservation Area. (Overnight at Local Teahouse).

The trail from Samagaon initially descends to Budhi Gandaki River before crossing a wooden bridge. From here it begans to acsends gradually through Juinper and Brich Forest offering ocassional glimpse of Manaslu and other surrounding peaks. Samdo offers panoramic view of glaciers and peaks of Manaslu Range. Samdo is a tibetian refugee village nestled at an altitude of 3800 m, surrounded by barren hills and spectacular mountain vistas. (Overnight at Local Teahouse).

We will start the day with a leisurly breakfast in Samdo. After that we will take a short walk around the village to strech our legs while admiring our surrounding. Samdo offers panoramic vistas of the surrounding peaks, including Manaslu, Larkya Peak, and the glaciers. We can also explore the local monasteries and chortens (Buddhist shrines) in Samdo. These monasteries offer insights into the Tibetian Buddhist culture and traditions practiced by the villagers. (Overnight at Local Teahouse).

The trail from Samdo starts with a steep ascent and gradually gaining altitude as we leave the village behind. The landscape become more rugged and barren, with scattered vegetation giving way to rocky terrain. Throughout the ascent, we can enjoy the breathtaking view of Manaslu (8,163m), Larkya Peak (6,249m), and other snow capped peaks dominating the skyline. The trek from Dharmasala to Bhimthang via Larkya La Pass typically takes about 9-10 hours, covering a distance of approximately 15-18 kilometers. This segment involves significant altitude gain and descent, demanding physical fitness and mental resilience. Proper acclimatization, hydration, and pacing are essenrtial for a safe and enjoyable crossing of Larkya La Pass. Take it slow and steady, pausing frequently to catch your breath and admire the unfolding views. (Overnight at Local Teahouse).

Today, as you descend, you will be treated to glimpses of towering peaks like Manaslu, Lamjung Himal and other majestic snow Capped Mountains. The scenery changes as you leave the high-altitude terrain behind and enter into more verdant landscapes. The trek from Bhimthang to Gho typically takes about 5-6 hours, covering a distance of approximately 12-14 kilometers. The trail involves a gradual descent, providing a welcome change from the high-altitude trekking days and allowing for further acclimatization. (Overnight at Local Teahouse).

The trek from Gho to Dharapani marks the final stretch of the Manaslu Circuit trek, where you will gradually descend through picturesque villages and lush forests towards lower elevations. The trail crosses several suspension bridges over the Dudh Khola and Marsyangdi river, providing thrilling views of the rushing water below and the steep cliffs on either side. (Overnight at Local Teahouse).

The drive from Dharapani to Kathmandu typically takes about 7-8 hours, depending on the specific route and road conditions. It’s a journey that offers a glimpse into the diverse landscapes and cultures of Nepal, concluding your trekking experience with a return to urban comforts and the vibrant atmosphere of Kathmandu. (Overnight at Local Teahouse).

It's your last day in Nepal! Grab some breakfast, and then take in some last-minute shopping in Kathmandu. We'll make sure you arrive at Kathmandu International Airport with plenty time before your flight home.
