Overview

Mardi Himal trek is a beautiful trekking trail in the Annapurna region which leads to the heart of Mardi Himal. The area is located at the east of one of the most legendary trekking destination of Nepal, the Annapurna Base Camp trek. Mardi Himal trek is a hidden trekking destination therefore very few trekkers make their way to the Mardi Himal Base Camp and have a splendid enjoyment into nature.

The Mardi Himal trek takes you through enchanted rhododendron forests. Then you get to see amazing views of Mardi Himal, Machapuchre, Annapurna South and Himchuli. After climbing up to Mardi Himal View Point by crossing high camp, it offer a spectacular, close up views of the entire Annapurna Range.

Tour Itinerary

Upon your arrival, our representative will be waiting for you at the arrival gate, holding a signboard for Mandala Holidays. You will be warmly welcomed and then escorted to your hotel, where you can settle in and unwind. The rest of the day is yours to relax and explore at your own pace. Take this time to rest from your journey, enjoy the local area, or simply get acclimated to your new surroundings. In the evening, our company representatives will visit you at your hotel to provide a comprehensive final briefing for your upcoming trek. This briefing will cover important details, answer any last-minute questions, and ensure you are well-prepared for the adventure ahead.

On your second day you will be taking a scenic drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara that takes around 7-8 hours. You will start from Kathmandu, heading out through the bustling city streets before joining the Prithvi Highway, which connects the capital to Pokhara. The road winds through the picturesque landscape of central Nepal, offering a captivating view of the diverse terrain. As you travel, you will pass through charming rural villages, terraced fields, and lush green hills. The route often follows the course of the Trishuli River, providing beautiful river views and opportunities to glimpse traditional life in the region. En-route Lunch. Upon reaching Pokhara, you will arrive at a vibrant lakeside city known for its stunning natural beauty, relaxed atmosphere, and a gateway to further adventures in the Annapurna region.

After enjoying a hearty breakfast, you will be transferred by private vehicle to Kande, which is about 30 kilometers away and takes roughly 1 hour to reach. Once you arrive in Kande, you will have a short break to refresh and prepare for the next leg of your journey. Following your break, you will begin your trek to the charming Australian Camp. This hike is approximately 4 kilometers and takes around 1.5 hours, featuring an uphill climb through scenic terrain. The relatively short trek is designed to gently ease you into the trek ahead and allow you to acclimate to the elevation. Upon reaching Australian Camp, you will be greeted by stunning views and a peaceful atmosphere. You will spend the night here, enjoying the serene environment and the beautiful surroundings, which will serve as a perfect introduction to the trekking days to come

 

You will start the fourth day of your trek with a delicious breakfast with the view at Australian camp. In the morning you can experience the beautiful sunrise with the backdrop of gigantic mountains like Mt. Macchapuchare (Fishtail), Annapurna South, Lamjung Himal, Manaslu etc. After then you will be starting your trek to Rest Camp. The total trekking distance for the day will be 12 km. The trek will mostly be on a narrow path surrounded with lush green forest. The lunch will be on a scenic place called Pittam Deurali. From there it will be a peaceful hike to Rest Camp crossing Forest Camp on the way. You will be staying the night at Rest Camp and get ready for the beautiful beginning of tomorrow.

The morning in Rest Camp can be expected to be pleasing to the eyes and the soul. Afterwards you will be having your breakfast and after some rest you will be moving towards High Camp. The trekking distance today will be 6.5 km. As the route climbs, the flora turns to classic ‘cloud forest’ with mosses and lichen, tree ferns, and orchids hosted by the hardier trees. Far below, to your left, you will be able to see the Modi Khola Valley leading up into the Annapurna Sanctuary. Just a short, steep climb and you are out of the forest. A ridge, grassy and sometimes under snow, leads up to High Camp. You can spend the day acclimatizing with awesome views. Annapurna South will seem a stone's throw away, and Machhapuchare close enough to touch.

Today you will set off early for Mardi Himal View Point and Base Camp if possible. You will target to reach view point by sunrise as the sunrise from the view point might as well be one of the best views possible. After taking some beautiful pictures, it will be time to descend.

Upon reaching High Camp you will be collecting your stuffs from the hotel and move further down to Badal Dada. Total trekking distance for today will be 14 km and this will be the most scenic day of the trek as well. Enjoy a warming drink and hot food at the tea house at Badal Danda.

In the morning after a relaxing time at the yard of the Hotel you will get ready for breakfast. After breakfast you will be heading towards Sidhing where your Trek officially ends. Total trekking distance of this day will be 5.6 km on a downhill path. From Sidhing, you will be taking a jeep ride towards Pokhara which will take around 2 hours covering 35 km. The evening in Pokhara is always expected to be filled with joy and enjoyment after the enduring trek. By taking the brisk walk in the lakeside area or by going for some shopping or maybe a night of partying the night is yours to enjoy.

Today, you will embark on a scenic journey back to Kathmandu from Pokhara, a drive that offers not just a transition between two cities, but a chance to reflect on the incredible experiences you've gathered during your time in Nepal. As you leave behind the tranquil lakeside of Pokhara, the road will lead you through lush green hills, terraced fields, and alongside the rushing Trishuli River. En-route lunch. As you approach Kathmandu, the bustling energy of the capital will slowly come into view, signaling the end of this chapter of your adventure.

It's your last day in Nepal! Grab some breakfast, and then take in some last-minute shopping in Kathmandu. We will make sure you arrive at Kathmandu International Airport with plenty of time before your flight home. At this time, we will say our goodbyes and bid you farewell, armed with warm memories and gorgeous photos to show your loved ones.
